Flash

     Today I worked in Flash, where you can make animated videos. It was a bit challenging, but it was really cool how the program automatically makes the transformation from one shape to another position or change to another. I made a stick person walking with a pentagon head.

My Crazy Song

   Today I made a 24 measure song out of one shots beats. It was challenging to find beats that go together out of scratch. When I was finished, I called it My Crazy Song b/c the different parts aren't exactly the same but all kinds of sounds mixed together. Kind of like 2 or 3 kinds of genres in one song.

16 Beat Rhythm

    Today I made another creation in GarageBand, only this time it was 4 measures and I could only use one shots. I called mine 16 Beat Rhythm b/c I couldn't think of anything else and b/c measures have 16 beats. It took me a while to pick the different one shot sounds but eventually I put them together. I like using loops better than one shots b/c it's harder to pick the right one shots that go together from scratch. Although that way, you can blend the one shots any way you want. Next we have to make a 24 measure rhythm with only one shots!

L.N. Beat

    Today I used an awesome software called GarageBand in which I mixed various beats and other tones to make a pretty cool sound. I called it L.N. Beat (L.N. are my initials). At first it seemed too complicated but it's easy to pick out different sounds to put together, and they have a wide selection. In my tune, I mixed music from congo drums, club beats, and an electric piano.

VectorGirl

      Today, I learned to use the pen tool in Illustrator to vectorize (or cartoon) pixilated images. I vectorized a sketched picture of a girl. I think cartooning pictures is really awesome and easy b/c you just have to outline it and color it in. It's cool how you can see how someone would look as a cartoon.

Letter Kid

    Today, I made a little kid out of the letters of my name. for the body, I used 'Y'. I used an 'O' for the head and irises. I used a 'c' for the ears, mouth, and tongue.  I used 'd' for the eyes and shoes. The hair is made of the letter 'i'.

Logo Post

 
  This is my logo. I like the colors I chose for it, especially the neon colors like neon blue, green, and yellow. In Illustrator, I really liked the blue and purple stokes so I added those for the corners and to underline my name. My favorite color is blue, so it's the name color. My second favorite color, yellow, is surrounding it. Then using another tools, I put neon green swirls and lily pad symbols.

George Smilington

      I made a picture on Photoshop in which I put a smiley face on the body of George Washington in front of the U.S. capitol that I call George Smiling-ton.

Football Friend

 
      On Day 3, I learned more tools in Photoshop and I put a picture of my best friend's head on the body of a football player :). I also made her have blue eyes and darker hair.

1st Day

   

       This summer, I'm excited about the other things I'm going to do this summer. After the PEOPLE Summer Program, I'm going to a horse camp in Mazomanie . I'm also going to a WCATY Summer Program and I'm taking a class on creative writing.
